2017 Festival Wrap-up and Winners:
(OIL CITY, PA) - Twenty-nine films, from around the globe, screened at the second annual Oil Valley Film Festival on August 31 - September 3. The festival comprised competitive sections for American and international narrative and documentary films, both feature-length and short, and a curated block of women and minority filmmakers. Audience favorite in the narrative feature category receives a prize separate from jury prizes, along with numerous additional prizes for the screenplay finalists in both short form and feature length.
Festival Director Matt Croyle stated, "The quality of films we received this year, films from eleven different countries were again just outstanding."
The Oil Valley Film Festival is presented by and in partnership with InkTip, Writers Store, iPitchTV, MaddyG TV, Oil City Library, Oil City Civic Center, Tipsy Chef, and Bridge Builders Community Foundations. A special thanks is given to Arts Oil City, the Oil City Main Street Program, Billy's, and the Venango Area Chamber of Commerce. The Oil Valley Film Festival receives operational support from One Fish Media.
